New: SEAT Leon

The SEAT Leon is a stylish and a good all-rounder, that offers tidy handling and overall comfort. Rivalling the Audi A3, Skoda Octavia and the Volkswagen Golf, the Leon is a fantastic family car with a strong performance that shines in both town and motorway driving. The SE Technology and FR Technology trims come with a lowered suspension and provide a firm ride that remains comfortable. Whilst in lower speeds, the Leon’s steering lightens up, which is brilliant for city driving.

‘The FR Trim adds a little extra dynamic style to the already sporty Leon 5dr. A car perfect for the sportier spirit. The exclusive interior upholstery, optional 18” alloy wheels and FR leather steering wheel provide a sportiness you can truly feel. And with finishing touches like the aluminium door sill and unique FR designed bumpers, you know you will always look the part.’ SEAT website.

Interior:
•Easy to find comfort – steering wheel moves extensively in and out, up and down.
•Driver’s seat also has a good level of movement including height adjustment as standard – FR Technology models get a sportier seat with extra side support.
•Lumbar adjustment and a height-adjustable front centre armrest are standard on all but the entry-level S model.
•All major controls are within easy reach.
•Front visibility is good – rear is okay but there are thick rear pillars.
•Rear parking sensors are standard on SE Dynamic Technology and FR Technology models.
•The dashboard is smart and all models, but the standard S, have a soft leather-covered steering wheel and gear knob.

Infotainment:
•Entry-level S model – 5.0inch colour touchscreen, including Bluetooth, mounted high in the centre of the dashboard – unable to add a DAB or multifunction steering wheel as an option on this model.
•SE trim and above comes with DAB Digital radio, multifunction steering wheel, sat-nav, 2 USB ports and a large 8.0inch touchscreen as standard.
•The system is intuitive and responsive.

Practicality:
•In the front – there is enough space for a couple of adults, with good head and leg room.
•There are plenty of cubbys, including an armrest with a storage compartment on all but the entry-level edition, 2 cup holders between the seats, a decent-sized glovebox and front door bins.
•An electric parking brake comes on all but the S trim, which frees up an extra cubby space between the front seats.
•The wireless phone charging system is a welcomed option.
•In the rear – there is plenty of space for 3 in the back, but 3 adults will be a squeeze.
•2 tall adults will feel comfortable but there isn’t much storage space other than the usefully big door bins that can store large drinks bottles.
•The rear seats fold down in a 60/40 split formation, which extends the boot space.
•Choose SE Technology and you will be rewarded with passenger seat-height adjustment as standard.
